Mountain Town Buried Under Water in Cloudburst

Sheridan Wyoming June 12 a wall of water from a mountain cloudburst swept down Clear Creek canyon onto the town of Buffalo wrecking part of the town and causing drownings. Water reached second story windows at the telephone exchange and communication ceased. Buffalo with about 600 inhabitants lies in the narrow canyon along a mile long street.
