Obituaries recall Harvey Emerick of Canoe township born 1867 died 1936 aged 69. He served as assessor and justice of the peace and was a longtime I O O F member. His funeral at Rochester Mills Presbyterian Church will be conducted by Reverends Davis and Jordan with burial in Pine Grove Cemetery. Also noted are Squire H C Emerick, 69, a Rochester Mills farmer and last survivor of his John Emerick line, and infant David Edward Clayton, son of William Clayton of Clymer, buried in Oakland Cemetery. Mrs Laura Goodman of Kittanning died in Armstrong County Hospital aged nearly 72, funeral at Rural Valley Fox residence with Rev Moore officiating. Work has started to straighten Route 11970 from Black Lick to mile hill as part of the Indiana Blairsville improvement.
