Maurice Miller of Blairsville spent today in Indiana. Walter Waller of Greensburg was in town yesterday. William H. Clark of Midway visited friends in town. Howard E Donahue of Clymer was a visitor in Indiana today. Ames Stevens near Armagh was an Indiana visitor today. Miss Ella McFaddy of this place visited friends in Kittanning. Attorney D B Taylor is a business visitor in Philadelphia this week. Miss Madge Orr of Twalick was visiting friends in town yesterday. Mrs George Snyder of West Church street is spending a few days in Jeannette. Prof A M Wonder of town has returned from a week’s visit with friends in Northumberland county. Clair Getty and Don Getty of town left today for Pittsburg to bring home an Oldsmobile runabout purchased by Harry W Wilson. Hon M C Watson and John A Scott Eny returned this morning from Harrisburg after attending the Republican States convention.

Doon Kidney Pills Promised Relief for Kidney Ailments

An 1890s advertisement explains kidney function and disease symptoms, praising Doon’s Kidney Pills. It cites Mrs Mary Jane Wakefield of Blairsville Pennsylvania endorsing Wakefield’s recovery after a severe kidney complaint. The ad lists price and U S sole agents Foster Milburn Buffalo and J M Stewart Co selling water filters.

Visiting Indiana Girls Home Praise Inspires Society Conven tion

Delegates praised Mrs Williard and staff at the Indiana girls home for their work. Mrs Mattie Sowers of Ridgway reported on the subject Child Value. Mrs J L Anderson of Allegheny spoke on Our Girls and the uplift of needy children. The meeting thanked church trustees, townspeople, delegates, pastors, and musicians. The day closed with songs and benediction. Delegates largely returned home, with some lingering for extra duties.

Harry White Ir a well known taller at the Deposit bank sustained a sore right hand after being jabbed with a lead pencil point several days ago. The hand swelled but is improving.

Normal School baseball team to play State College Saturday

The Normal School baseball team left this morning for State College Center county for a game with the State College team on Saturday. They will return home on Sunday. A large crowd attended a dance in Odd Fellows Hall on Thursday evening. Music was by parts of Apple’s orchestra.
