State to oversee 1500 miles of new roads in two years
Harrisburg figures show the State Highway Department will supervise at least 1500 miles of new roads over the next two years with $24,000,000 from state aid and special funds. About 480 miles are expected to be built, over 400 miles from unfinished 1926 contracts, and 65 short gaps totaling 130 miles on primary routes will be paved. A separate note reports a crackdown on faulty tail lights and license plate illumination by the motor patrol.

Two Killed as Train Hits Auto in Beaver Ma
At Beaver Pennsylvania a passenger train struck an automobile at a crossing. Mrs Charles Atkinson 39 and Paul Coffey 10 both New Brighton were killed. William Coffey and Margaret Coffey son and wife of the dead woman were injured along with Charles Atkinson husband of the deceased.
