Low water saves drowning in Elk Creek crash
Milford Helms and Miss Martha Park were saved from drowning when their automobile plunged into Elk Creek near Mahon Run as they rounded a curve. Helms, driving, misjudged the curve and the car remained in the water over an hour before extraction. Stanton Funk of Kittanning, district engineer for the State Highway Department, visited Indiana Friday.

Mrs Pittman Dies at 91 in Uniontown Home
Mrs. Sarah Ann Pittman longtime Green township resident died at her son William Pittman’s West Water Street home this morning at 32:40 o clock. She was 91 and death was due to infirmities of age. Survived by one son. Funeral services set for Monday at 10 in Uniontown Church with interment in Uniontown Cemetery. R A Fulton noted as a local citizen. Charles Miller of Blairsville attended court yesterday.
