Powder Puff Race Nears Finish at Amelia Earhart Field
In Miami Florida on June 4 the last transcontinental powder puff racers are due to land at Amelia Earhart Field. Four of the six California to Miami contenders in the 1500 dollar Jacqueline Cochran Cross-country hop have reached the site. Two pilots Doroth y Krag ozo of Stockton and Helen Greinke of Bloomington were halted by darkness and plan to resume today. The all female pilots compete in the second annual All American Women's Air Maneuvers, beginning in Palm Springs California.
