Flyers Land In Hawaii 2400 Miles In 271/42 Hrs

Honolulu reports that the Southern Cross completed the first 2400 mile leg of its 7800 mile trans Pacific mission to Australia, landing at Wheeler Field in 27 hours 24 minutes. The crew planned a Hawaii to Suva hop next, with inspection and possible delays at Kauai before departure.

Endurance Record Broken by Italian Aviators Ferrarin Delprete

Indiana High School holds 1928 graduation for 125 students

Commencement exercises in the High School Auditorium honor 125 graduates of the Class of 1928. Supt Herlinger presented diplomas as the crowd filled the room. Y Camp Opens July 5 For Boys At Little Mahoning

Indiana boys and nearby youths are urged to enroll as the Y M C A Camp for Boys on the Little Mahoning opens July 5 for a two week program. Mrs C W Dinger's Mother Dead In Ridgeway Pa

Caroline Westland, aged 7, mother of Mrs Nellie Westland Dinger of Indiana, died at four yesterday at the home of her son Thomas Westland in Ridgway Pennsylvania. Funeral arrangements not yet set. Burial will be from Thomas Westland's home. Westland remembered here for Indiana Democrat connection in 1914. he is now manager of Print Craft Press at Ridgway.
