The grounds include 72 cottages 256 dormitory rooms and 93 tents accommodating up to 630 people. A cafeteria serves meals, a 2000 seat tabernacle hosts daily services, and strict rules curbed smoking and drinking. A 10,000 attendee Sunday crowd saw orderly conduct and a baptismal service in the river. Notable speakers include Rev. H. M. Shuman Rev. John Thomas Rev. William T. MacArthur and Rev. W. G. Weston.

Peter Stahl of Cookport died at his home Sunday evening after a three week illness. He leaves his widow Mrs Hiney (Barnett) Stahl a son David W. Stahl several brothers and sisters and four grandchildren. He was a life long member of the Cookport Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2 at the Cookport Baptist Church with interment in the Methodist Cemetery.
