A WV Mayo-Robinson reports in the British Medical Journal the successful use of a piece cut from a rabbit’s sploot cord grafted between the cut ends of a man’s median nerve after two and a half inches were removed. He also grafted a rabbit sciatic nerve to fit a gap in the winor nerve, which the operation had bridged, and after six years the muscles of the lower arm and hand performed normally.
