Industrialist dies under coal car near Fairbanks
Alaska's leading industrialist Captain Austin Eugene Lathrop age 84 died yesterday when a loaded coal car rolled over him as he inspected gondolas at Healy River Coal Corp holdings at Santrana, 112 miles south of Fairbanks. Dr. Paul B. Haggland said the car was released after the operator failed to see him and the death was due to a fall or trip under the wheel.

Harrisburg reports 632 prosecutions for short weight violations in Pennsylvania for the fiscal year ended May. Fines totaled 22415 dollars. C-47 Plane Down With 26 Aboard Near Oshima Island

Pittsburgh will ask the State Superior Court to set aside upcoming fare hikes set for August 4. Mayor David L.
