McCormick Home Damaged By Fire in Harrisburg
Fire caused an estimated 20000 damage to the 120 year old McCormick mansion near the governor's residence. Firemen fought flames and smoke for more than an hour before control. Torches used by painters on the cornice are believed responsible for the blaze damaging the roof and third floor of the home of the late Vance McCormick former publisher and former Democratic chairman.
