Noted P R R Claim Agent McIntyre Dies at 77
William Matthews McIntyre 77 a well known Pennsylvania Railroad claim agent and longtime assistant to Robert Pitcairn died at his Swissvale home from an apoplectic stroke. A Latrobe resident for twenty years he was an elder in the Presbyterian Church and leaves three sisters and an Indiana nephew. Funeral arrangements have not been set.

Akron July 20. Eight major Akron rubber companies announced a flat 10 percent rise in automobile tire prices effective immediately. Companies named include Goodyear, General, Mohawk, India, Selbowling, Falls, and others. Increases reflect higher crude rubber and cotton costs and reduced textile machine hours. A further rise may follow after the cotton processing tax on Aug. 1. Dr. Freeman, foot specialist, will be at Hotel Moore tomorrow evening.
