Clarksburg residents and neighbors from Pittsburgh, Los Angeles, Vandergrift, Butler, and nearby towns visited family and friends over the weekend. Many names appear among salons, church groups, and festival attendees, with travel to Pittsburgh, Olean, and Indiana noted along with several household drops by to see relatives.
Grisemore Grange entertained Cockport Grange members Tuesday evening after the regular meeting. A dainty luncheon was served and a good time was had by all. Numerous Barnesboro visitors and local residents were noted among those calling on Richard Williams and friends throughout the week.
Gibbons was visited Sunday by relatives from Cantory. Attendents at church service included A. Greffins, Davis, and A G Butterbaugh. E T Best and family from Derry and Miss Mary Clifford from Ligonier called on the Buterbaugh residence. Dr Wolf of Pittsburgh led afternoon services at Blacklick church.
SHELOCTA Misa Jean Heffelfinger visits her sister Mrs Ralph Srindie of Latrobe. Orpha Harbison is sick. Earl Sel and son Charles visited W R Sharp of Brackenridge. Anne Heffelfinger of Indiana and Laura Sharp visited relatives. Elsie Sharp visited Aunt C D Edwards. Lula Wood visited Annie Sell. Couch was very sick. Steele Kerr and family visited M K Silvis and D A Hefflefinger. George Myers of Latrobe visited D A Hefflefinger. Kerr and Silvis families shopped in Indiana. Subscribe For the Gazette.
The Ladies Aid Society of M. B. church will hold a bake sale at Manks Store on Saturday afternoon, July 29, offering cakes, bread and other eats. Everyone is invited to attend. Blaine Stewart’s arm is improving, and Mrs. Henry Glasser and family have returned to their home in Derry after visiting. Miss Agnes Truby is visiting her parents, and Miss May Smith is visiting with friends in the burg. The Ladies Aid also requests attendance at the M. S. Church on August 11 when Miss Louise Hileman, an Elocutionist, will entertain. Mr and Mrs. Taylor Rowland spent Sunday with his mother, and Walter Cunningham, employed in Heshbon, spent Sunday at his home. Camp meeting is largely attended in the evenings.
