Dayton Joint Parent Teachers Association executive committee met at president Floyd Schrecengost's home for the second summer meeting. Smith Descendants Reune At Dayton
Sixty nine descendants of the late Alvin H. Smith met at the Dayton Fair Grounds on Saturday July 14 for their annual reunion. Mrs. Smith attended with children grandchildren and great grandchildren. Five children were present: Mrs. John Bittinger Mrs. Walter Smith Robert Raymond and Guy Smith. A son Tia could not attend due to illness. Mrs. Smith has 26 grandchildren and 49 great grandchildren. A basket lunch was served at noon followed by games and contests led by Mrs. John Alcorn and Mrs. Robert Smith. President Arthur Hollenbaugh led a business meeting after the evening meal with prizes awarded for oldest member youngest member longest married couple and most recently married.
