National Education Program Promoted by American Legion
Indianapolis July 24 The American Legion seeks a new national education program to forge a type of citizen free from hyphenism and bigotry. National commander Alvin Owsley says he has toured 45 states delivering up to five talks daily to audiences from 100 to 20,000. He notes broad public approval of Legion policies and growing support for disabled veterans and immigration holidays while opposing radicals.
