State police investigated three thefts over the past 24 hours. CHERRY TREE radios valued at 230 dollars were stolen from vehicles owned by Ken Bidwards Dayton Road 2 and Lowell Satterfield Mahaffey Road 1 parked at Cessna Trucking Co Cherry Tree Road 2 Marion Center. Several tape players and recorders valued at 437 dollars were taken from the McCreery Elementary School in Marion Center between July 13 and July 20. Hillsdale Donald Connor 28 reported that someone removed the wheels and rims from his vehicle in his driveway.

Fire Kills Bowsers Relatives in Indiana Area
Relatives of Indiana area businesspersons perished in a factory blaze that destroyed the Bowser funeral home near Butler. Victims include Mr and Mrs Frederick Bowser in-laws of Mrs Anne Bowser and the late Donald Bowser of Plumville, and the uncle and aunt of Mr and Mrs C Frederick Bowser of Homer City. Anne Bowser operates a Plumville funeral home while the Bowsers run one in Homer City. No details on the fire are available, but the Gazette was told the funeral will be held Monday.
