Runaway Big Injures 8 In Area
A runaway tractor-trailer on Bedford Street struck two autos and a moving van, injuring eight people. One car hit a porch, another a store, and the van rolled over after hitting a pole. Police traced the cause to a broken driveshaft. The truck traveled over a mile before stopping. Injured include Charles Wilson 25 and Calvin Young 23 of Brooklyn, NY.

Travis Dies In Blairsville Store Founder R R Travis
Blairsville man Russell R Travis owner of Travis Department Store on East Market Street died early this morning en route to Latrobe Hospital after being stricken yesterday. Veteran of World War I and member of Blairsville American Legion Post 407. Survivors include his father T R Travis formerly in business together. The business opened in 1991.

Order Out Of Woodville Staff Funds
Welfare Secretary Harry Shapiro urged Woodville State Hospital officials to seek staff economies for efficiency.
