Presbyterial Men's Meeting at Lewisville in historic church

A large delegation from Indiana and nearby towns attended the Eastern Presbyterial Men’s Meeting at the Bechenezer Church in Lewisville on a Sunday afternoon and evening. Music led by Ale Shaw and Jacksonville men’s chorus. J. Fryer spoke on goals for the organization. Rev Rudolph Miller of Saltsbury delivered the main address, Mickey Wilhian Ruddock spoke on liquor laws, Rev A Stuart of Binnsville gave the evening talk, and Rev Rob er L Clark Jr of Indiana led closing moments. Ebenever Church women hosted a cafeteria luncheon. attendees praised the historic Indiana County church where Christian work began.

Revival services start Sunday at 7 45 nightly at Revival Baptist

The area revival led by Rev Herbert Mountain from Tocca Falls Bible College Georgia began Sunday with strong attendance though seats remain. He plans a three week Washington campaign in August and returns to complete his studies. Messages emphasized forgiveness and living for Christ with examples from Paul Peter James John the Samaritan woman and the Canaanite woman urging personal commitment. Attendees are urged to pray and participate, with music from Indiana and nearby areas and everyone welcome to attend nightly at 7 45.

East and West Meeting in Ohio Over Chinese Marriage

Columbus, July 22. President Lin Lin of China, foster father of James Lin, wants the couple to return to their homeland to answer his family after Lin's marriage to Viola Brown, a 24 year old Ohio store clerk. Lin, 26, has not heard from Ambassador Alfred Sze but expects contact soon. Ohio State University has not commented on the marriage.

The governor trims department funds including education and public instruction. Smiles Now and Then Delays in Revenue Department Permits

The tax must be paid by the tenth of each month and the first returns reach the Revenue Department by August 10, covering the last ten days of the month. Although permits are required immediately, officials will accept registrations obtained a few days late due to delays in processing blanks. Permits will be issued once blanks are returned with the $1 fee.

Cleveland youths taken to hospital after crash

A vehicle collision on the Indiana Blairsville road near the Indiana borough limits sent Mary Ellen Kelley, 24, of Indiana R D 7 to Indiana Hospital with a slight concussion, shock, and injuries. The others were in the rumble seat with no driver. The incident occurred around 5 30 a m. Continued from page one.

Light brothers collide near Gallitzin in crash

Elensburg district bridge engineer and his 65 year old brother Louis were in a collision near Gallitzin as the younger Light tried to pass another machine. A Greensburg report notes a separate fatal crash on the Lincoln highway near Greensburg involving James B. Dunlap and a Clairton bus, injuring three, with victims Martha Magner Betty Walloppenstein and Charles E. Frohlin. In related farm accidents two youths died in Greensburg district when 14 year old Glen Bollinger fell on a fork handle, and 19 year old Ray Earl Henry Jr died after barn door collapse injuries.

Choir Singer Faces Murder in American Tragedy

Newell P Sherman a 26 year old Sutton Choir singer and scoutmaster pleaded not guilty at District Court arraignment for the first degree murder of his 22 year old wife. He repeated his confession to state police claiming he sang through the night fog before tipping a canoe into Lake. He said the 17 year old Esther McGill urged him to drown himself and he claimed to still love his dead wife Alice.

Important changes in traffic regulations take effect

New rules require automobiles to pass school buses at no more than ten mph when buses stop to load or unload. Vehicles with inflammable cargo join others that must stop at grade crossings.
