Nelson Williams Dies After Train Collision Near Homer City
Nelson H. Williams 48 of Lucerne died at Indiana Hospital after a car driven from Indiana crossed the Pennsylvania Railroad branch near Bianco Crossing shortly after 4:00 PM Tuesday. Three others were injured including Harold McMasters 3 and Mrs Nelson H. Williams, with serious and possible internal injuries and leg injuries reported. A witness said warning calls were given but the Studebaker sedan was hit as it struggled to clear the tracks. The incident continues on page two.

Capture of 18 Foot Snake Not by G O Q Jones
Two Cincinnati salesmen fishing in a rented rowboat in Sandusky Bay brought ashore a gigantic snake later identified by Harold L. Madison of the Cleveland Museum of Natural History as a Python Mobius or possibly a Boa Constrictor. The 18 foot reptile sparked earlier reports of a lake monster before the curator discounted the tale and noted no head marks of a strike. Boy Scout Rescue Saves Drowning Man at Dead Waters
Altoona member rescues drowning Jay Stake of Brushvalley township from Dead Waters in Yellow Greek. Stake, 20, fell into an eight to nine foot hole and could not swim.
