Wilmer Zack, 30, of near Heshbon, arrested late Thursday with an improvised jimmy, confessed to a series of 18 month store robberies in Blairsville Torrance Josephine Heshbon area. He told police at 11 30 Thursday night and after questioning admitted planning another East Market Street robbery and said he had burglarized Blairsville Hardware Company twice and the Atlantic Street store.

Auto crash near Punxsutawney blamed on sleepiness
An evening collision on the B P Highway two miles south of Punxsutawney involved Lou Parbolf of Pittsburgh driving a Nash and O L Mitchell of Punxsutawney in an Oakland. All three were bruised but not seriously hurt. Parbolf suffered three fractured ribs and all were treated at Punxsutawney Hospital. Both cars were demolished. Parbolf reportedly fell asleep at the wheel.
