Lost Monday afternoon a fountain pen with gold trimming on Church Street between Fifth and Tenth or Ninth between Church and Philadelphia. Reward available upon return to Gazette Office.
Deaths note tuberculosis claim for Indiana born man who later worked in Denver and died at home in Pittsburgh area. Survived by mother and two sisters. funeral at Lockard home led by Rev B W Hutchinson with Oakland cemetery burial. Also mourning Bernice Trusal four, of Five Points, who died from acute indigestion. Parents Earl and Mrs Trusal plan Wednesday burial near Five Points cemetery.
A Du Bois group offers a one day outing with train departs 5:00 am Saturday and returns at 10:30 pm from Buffalo. Boat from Commercial Street wharf at 12:25 pm to Crystal Beach, return 7:14 pm. Concerts on boat, dancing allowed, tickets adults 2.75, children 1.40. Boat ride 15¢ adults 10¢ children. B R & P shop band provides music on train and boat. Midway and artisans complete the day’s entertainment.
