Ida Hildebrand Rice widow of Herbert Rice died at her San Dimas California home on Sunday July 15 after months of illness. She leaves her mother Elizabeth Farrington Hildebrand of San Dimas and a brother Edward Hildebrand in Washington. Born in Butler she spent childhood in Blairsville and Butler then lived in Maine and Massachusetts before moving to California about twenty years ago with her husband and parents. Her Indiana connections included visits to the homes of aunts J M Torrence Thomas Sutton and the late J M Young and Nan J Carnahan.

Exoneration for West Virginia Man in Graceton Fatality
R Kenneth Meckley of Weir WV was cleared by a coroner s jury after a seven year old girl Anna Karpack of Graceton died from injuries after running into the Indiana Blairsville road. Miner Dies After Fall Down Stairs in Barnesboro
Joseph Byron a 67 year old miner of North Barnesboro died at Miners Hospital after a fall down stairs at his home. He was found unconscious by his daughter-in-law Monday night and died Wednesday. Surviving are a daughter, three brothers, two sisters, seven grandchildren and a son who died seven years ago. Funeral arrangements incomplete with burial planned in North Barnesboro cemetery.

San Francisco July 19. The Market Street Railway was to resume partial operation as municipal lines reported a record in cars in service and passengers carried yesterday.
