Split-log drag brings road improvements in Fairfield township

Local report from Williamaport Sun notes that about fourteen residents agreed to use the split-log drag on the Hie road and nine other properties. The method, already in use by half a dozen drags, promises better roads across more than 50 miles of Fairfield township as supervisors support the practice and offer a fixed wage for participants.

White Township School Board Seeks Roofing Bids

The White Township school board meets at the Court House in Indiana Pa on Saturday August 1 at 2 30 p m to receive bids for roofing East and West Pike Schoolhouse with Security Gravel Roofing and to repair Belderschool with No 1 oak filtering.
