Three Trucks Crash Injuring Man in Norristown
In East Norristown Township three trucks collided near a state police weight station injuring Roy Hoar, 30, who suffered a fractured leg after being thrown from a loaded 10 ton cement truck driven by William Sowers, 27, of Philadelphia. Sowers’ truck hit John Lutzkanin’s produce truck, pushing it into another loaded with apple butter that overturned. Sowers’ truck then hit a parked car and stopped on a lawn. Apple butter driver Therman Susser of Gettysburg was pinned in his cab.

White Cloud Kas July 17 Chief James White Cloud 100 titular head of the Iowa tribe died yesterday on a nearby reservation. He was believed the oldest Indian chief in the country. During the Civil War he fought with the 14th Kansas Cavalry. At a recent veterans reunion at Gettysburg Pa he was introduced to President Roosevelt.
