Tragedy at Heshbon mine claims 18 year old miner life
At Maple Avenue Blairsville, 18 year old coal miner Joseph Tedeski of Heshbon died at Indiana Hospital from injuries after being caught between a mine car and a wall at the Margaret Coal Mining Company mines. An accidental death verdict was returned after Coroner Dr. Tred W. St. Clair inspected the scene. In a separate incident at Blairsville, 82 year old truck driver Charles Heitzell narrowly escaped serious injury when Train No. 6 hit his lumber laden truck at the Maple avenue grade crossing. Heitzell jumped from the cab seconds before impact and escaped unhurt. the truck was damaged.

Harresburg July 17 Printed copies of the new game regulations govern bag limits and open seasons for 1924. Deer season allows only legal killing with bucks protected under new rules. Antlerless deer over 50 pounds may be killed from November 1 to 13. Each hunter may take one deer per season. Hunting camps are removed from the regulations. each member may shoot a doe during the 1935 season. Bear season runs November 1 to December 15 with hunting Thursday through Saturday in November and six days a week thereafter until close. Continued on page 23.
