Nonsense on tour and visits: BE Buchanan of Brushvalley and Daniel Williams of Pine Flats travel on business and leisure. Counts include DeVoe McLaran from Blairsville visiting Indiana, Frank Adams of Kenwood, Albert Marshall of Greensburg, and Dr T D Stephens and son from Penn Run. Various others travel, visit relatives, or attend events in Johnstown, Cincinnati, Philadelphia, Grove City, Atlantic City, and more.
A. B. Marshall now of Proaper Waash travels with relatives to Conemaugh township. Mrs. E. K. Fiat and daughter Carolyn of Lamberton recently returned from Blairsville after visiting Attorney Coulter Wiggins and the Shields family of Pittsburg. Mr. and Mrs. H. Shields and Ruth Shields of Pittsburgh plus R. B. and Mary McCabe of Blairsville passed through Indiana on their way to Clarion in the men’s automobile. Harry R. Henderson and wife of the Graff flats plan a fortnight in northern Pennsylvania. during Henderson’s absence the Progress office linotype will be operated by Gu Hod.

Noncompliance draws a fine of two to ten dollars, with Borough payment and collection by the Chief Burgess.
A Carbon Hill Alabama parent credits Chamberlain's Colic Cholera and Diarrhoea Remedy with saving his four year old son after two doctors gave up. He advises using the remedy with castor oil as directed, noting many children are saved yearly. Sold by all druggists.

Homer City High School defeated Indiana High School 18 to 12 on the grounds Tuesday afternoon. Williams allowed two hits for Homer, while McCreight faced heavy hits and took the loss. Key drives came from Lucas Williams Schall and Roberta in the field, with Fitzhonts and Lucas scoring four runs each. McCreight, the only Indiana scorer, crossed home once.
Willian Davia of Ebensburg met a delegation of relatives on Saturday to arrange a reunion during the Indiana Fair week in September 2018. About 400 letters will be sent announcing the event, and a very large delegation is expected from across the United States, with descendants numbering in the many branches of Mr. Davis’s mother who was one of thirteen children.
Quartermaster first class Richard J. Mullen of the Pittsburgh recruiting station will tour Indiana from July 16 to 18 inviting interested young men to learn about Navy life and to take the qualifying physical exam. Those who pass may receive assistance from recruiting offices to travel to Pittsburgh for further processing.
John W. Vogel of Latrobe and Miss Rose Schisler of Latrobe were married at 7 30 this morning by Father McCullough in Holy Family Church Latrobe. Attendants were Lawrence Vogel and Miss Emma Schisler. The groom works at Vogel Brothers. After a tour they will live in Indiana. Lawrence Vogel and Miss Stella Vogel attended from Indiana.
John Byers died Tuesday morning at 7 o'clock in Grove Chapel aged 73. He served in the Civil War with Company T of the 14th Cavalry and is survived by his wife Jane, four children George Sidney James of Indiana and Lizzie of Tamona, grandchildren, and brothers William Daniel Anderson and Sidney of Grove Chapel. Funeral Thursday at 10 with burial in Grove Chapel graveyard. Rev. S. A. Shankis to conduct services.
The Pennsylvania Railroad and Hudson and Manhattan Railroad announce that from July 19 1909 all tickets to and from New York will be valid through the Hudson tunnel to the Hudson Terminal Building at Church and Cortlandt Streets. Passengers may also use ferry routes to Cortlandt Desbrosses and Twenty third Streets or the Jersey City elevator to reach the tunnel. Coupons and transfer procedures are outlined for Philadelphia Bay Head and Tom River to Jersey City riders and returning New York travel will be honored on the concourse floor.
