He leaves wife Mary Elizabeth Akine Byers and many children including William, Mary, Bade Mumau, Rachel Cunningham, Mattie Cunningham, John M Uncapher, Charles Ke, James Harries Samuel Emma, Solomon and Harry. Funeral Sunday at the Evangelical church with Rev W M Peiffer officiating. interment in Oakland cemetery.

Mrs Maria Adams 87 widow of Henry Adams died at her daughter Mrs C A Zeck’s home in University Place Nebraska Her remains were brought to Knoxetown for services at the home of William B Adams Sabbath She was born in Cherrytree and spent her youth Her husband died about 21 years ago He captained a boat on the Portage Canal She leaves seven children and two sisters One sister named Mrs Nancy Adams lives in Strongstown.

Atlantic City July 18 The national Prohibition convention nominated Eugene W. Chafin of Arizona for president and Aaron S. Watkins of Ohio for vice president by acclamation after a single ballot. Four others withdrew after the first ballot. Debate over renaming the party to Progressive or Conservative was not decided as many delegates prepared to return home.
