Public use of public forests announced in Pennsylvania

Harrisburg July 12. The Pennsylvania Department of Forestry will post hundreds of signs in state forests this summer. Chief forest er Gif ford Finchot says signs will be read at thirty miles per hour, with two inscriptions about welcoming visitors and preventing fires. Signs range from 8 by 9 ft down to 30 by 36 in, placed along highways, woods, roads, and trails to inform visitors, invite use, and warn of fire dangers.
