A Tuesday fire in Frackville Pennsylvania destroyed two houses causing about 20000 dollars in damage. Three Keiffer brothers Francis Joseph and John lived there along with Mr and Mrs Anson Heiser and their two grandchildren. One firefighter sustained injuries from a falling plank.

Boy's Body Recovered From Portage Creek Near Emporium
Firemen recovered the body of 9 year old Donald E. Tomlin of Gardeau in Portage Creek near Emporium Cameron County. He went swimming with two friends on Tuesday and was separated from them who thought he went home. A search began Tuesday night and the body was found in about five feet of water.
