California Bank Heads Are Indicted
The United States Circuit Court of Appeals convicted Bank of America and Transamerica, Inc. and their presidents L. M. Giannini and Sam Husbands of civil contempt for violating an order restraining acquisition of 22 California banks. The banks must be returned within 30 days or Giannini and Husbands face jail until compliance and the corporations a daily fine of 2500 dollars.

Twenty-five Pennsylvanians Named Pennsylvania Ambassadors
Harrisburg July 1 Twenty five distinguished former Pennsylvanians were selected for the Pennsylvania Ambassador civilions in connection with the 1950 Pennsylvania Week Observance October 18 to 22. The State Chamber of Commerce announced the awards will be presented at celebrations in the winners' hometowns. The ambassadors will receive an aluminum plaque and a four score scroll signed by the Governor the Secretary of Commerce and leaders of the State Chamber and local sponsor. The Ambassador Awards begun in 1948 honor outstanding achievement in the commonwealth and are limited to Pennsylvanians now residing outside the state.

Zimmerman Serves In Armstrong County Education Post
