Merle Channels of Lancaster, formerly of here, visited the McGovern home yesterday. William Pattison of Penn Run is erecting a new barn. Robert Baxter of Clymer was a business visitor. Mrs Kane and son Joseph of Punxsutawney passed through town en route to Nanty Glo. Michael Gibben of Punxsutawney visited friends in town. Collins of Barnesboro was a business caller over the weekend. Mrs Clara Anderson and Olive Anderson of Canton are visiting friends in Indiana and vicinity. William Kissinger and family went to Cherry Tree Saturday for the weekend with Mr Kissinger’s brother. Mrs William North and daughters Mildred and Katherine hosted at Ernest. Elizabeth Ale of Hillardale spent Saturday visiting town. Aly Edward Fyck of Penn Run was a business visitor this morning.

A wide international attendance was noted. Last night commemoration events honored pacifists Baroness Sutthernd and Alfred Fried.
San Francisco July 11 The Pacific fleet with 207 vessels will assemble in San Francisco Bay around September 1 for a formal review by Secretary of the Navy Denby. Denby will observe from the battleship New York as it sails from Alaska and Honolulu to join the fleet in San Francisco.
