Harrisburg July 7 A merger of the southwestern Pennsylvania bus operations of Penn Bus Lines a West Penn Railways subsidiary and the Pennsylvania General Transit Co the bus line subsidiary of the Pennsylvania railroad was indicated in applications filed with the public service commission. The Penn Bus Co requested approval of its purchase of the Penn Bus lines and said it would seek approval of operating rights purchased from Pennsylvania General Transit.
