Washington AP Congress resumes its rush toward adjournment with hundreds of bills awaiting action. The Senate opens at 8 30 a m and faces more than 3800 measures while major items are few. The House meets at 11 a m amid talk of an all night sprint to close the 1952 session.
In Chicago the Taft Eisenhower fight for 13 Louisiana delegates heats up before the Republican National Committee. Taft supporters hold control while Eisenhower backers abandon hope of a committee vote on seating their delegates. They attack Taft tactics in Texas, Georgia and Louisiana and vow to press for seating changes at the convention. Werner W. Schroeder, an Illinois committeeman, denounces claims by Henry Cabot Lodge Jr. of slanted tactics as rank and file delegates begin arriving in Chicago.
Norman G. Roof, manager of the Indiana Sportswear Company, announces progress in establishing operations. The chamber of commerce notes the report is encouraging and reflects confidence in management. Roof says the firm employs about 150 people and has hired a highly capable workforce, progressing faster than expected.
Coupon distribution in today's Gazette offers multiple free bicycle coupons. Drawings occur tomorrow at the Mack Community Center grandstand at noon four and six and eight pm. Winners must be present to claim prizes.

Indiana Borough police department released June temperature records showing 16 of 30 days above 80 degrees, with five days at or above 90. The peak reading reached 92 on June 26, while only seven days saw rain, and the coolest day reached 64.
Chicago motorists prepare for a July Fourth weekend with about 90 million travelers and an estimated 430 deaths from accidents. The National Safety Council cites 40 million vehicles and 200,000 world-circumference miles driven, urging extra caution to cut fatalities. Indiana Lions sponsor a sixth annual Independence Day event at J S Mack Community Center attracting families from across the county. Proceeds fund Lions Health Camp. Activities include a morning parade, auto races, wrestling, fireworks, Little League game, rides, drawings for free bikes, and picnics. Parade features three extra entrants and group entries from Grange, business women, DAR, and Saddle Club.
An 8 year old man suffered neck and shoulder injuries after a two car collision at Sixth and Washington streets at 11:00 a.m. Borough Police report. The other vehicle was driven by Isabel B. Roof, Trustee in Bankruptcy, with the Saltsburg man and his brothers and uncle among those connected to the case. Federal authorities in Pittsburgh filed a bankruptcy related complaint against four relatives. The scene involved a Saltsburg group and a Greensburg resident, with the injured man treated at Indiana Hospital.
America's largest traveling rodeo will perform two shows at the Mack Community Center on Monday August 4 to raise funds for the Little League baseball field. Indiana Optimist Club sponsors the event with proceeds aiding youth sports. Gazette will publish full details soon. A three day holiday looms as Indiana County offices and many businesses close Friday for Independence Day. Stores stay shut Friday, open Saturday with regular hours. banks open 9 AM to noon Saturday. County Courthouse offices closed all day Saturday. postoffice also closed Friday with Saturday hours restored.
Bulletin from Berlin notes the Russians released three Chicago Catholic priests after 40 hours in captivity. They were handed over to American officers in Karlshorst East Berlin following capture on the Berlin Soviet zone frontier.

Senate internal security subcommittee may probe possible Communist infiltration of the Treasury Department and other fiscal agencies. McCarran noted the 18 month inquiry into the Institute of Pacific Relations revealed evidence of penetration at Treasury during the war and said the panel may extend its probe unless another factor intervenes.
A gasoline stove exploded in the kitchen of Stanley Tate in Dixonville shortly before ten this morning. Neighbors restrained the fire before Clymer Volunteers Fire Company arrived. damages about $200 with no injuries reported.
