Litzinger’s Odd Experience After Altoona Crash
Roy Litzinger and his wife of Oak Street reached the scene of an automobile crash on the Benjamin Franklin highway east of town. Three Altoona women were seriously injured. Litzinger helped extract them from the wreck and place them in an ambulance. Later a 40 foot beech tree toppled across the road as the Litzingers returned home, obstructing the highway until removal by the Department of Highways.

Parade Big Feature Event Of Homer City Carnival
Several hundred volunteer firemen from Indiana Westmoreland and Cambria counties plus auxiliary groups took part in Homer City last night for the fifth annual Homer City Volunteer Fire Department carnival parade. Pater Kuertin a 48 year old murderer of women and children was executed today. He was convicted of killing four girls four women and one man in Duesseldorf and related crimes. The Duesseldorf slayer known as a second Jack the Ripper caused terror for over a year until his arrest in May last year.

A Boswell, Pa. blaze destroyed a two story garage and damaged a three story apartment building, totaling about 200000 dollars in damages.
