Mrai Sarah Boweta widow of Valentine Boweta dies of dropsy at her son in law and daughter J Bilder Peeler home in West Philadelphia Street about 5 pm Monday. She lived on a farm west of town with her husband and later with her daughter for three years due to infirmity. Age 79, member of the Methodist church for 57 years. Six children survive: Mrs. Margaret Hamilton Pine Flats. Mrs. S. P. Lewis Indiana. Mrs. Perry Wallace Willet. Mrs. Samuel Borland Indiana. Mrs. H. W. Beatty Woolfield Ohio. Mrs. J Elder Peeler town. Funeral July 4 at 2 pm conducted by Rev. George S. Holmes. Interment Oakland cemetery.

U S Marshal Henkel and deputies searched Frank M Chandler Forest Hill estate for John D Rockefeller to serve a Chicago judge’s subpoena. They scoured golf links haylofts and barns without success, meeting a Rockefeller secretary who denied knowledge of his whereabouts. Rockefeller plans July Fourth family visit. officials expect him to respond. Three Standard Oil officials were served subpoenas.
Thomas Toytan father of Aitle Viola Boylan was arrested after a police search of the Boylan flat. Detectives found bloodstains on the bed and floor and clothing with blood marks. Toytan, an epileptic, denied knowledge as his wife testified in his favor and the case hinges on further evidence.
Gov Dawson of West Virginia and staff arrive for West Virginia Day at Jamestown Exposition. A provisional West Virginia National Guard unit joins Kentucky and South Carolina regiments, Tenth New York company, and federal troops for the event. Speakers include Senators Aikins Scott and Gov McCorkle.
Henderson Kentucky July 2 The body of an unknown white man aged about 45 was found on the island near the city. He had committed suicide by diganvhoweling himself and cutting hushroat with a razor.
