Ed vad Anderson, a 45-year-old WPA worker from Brownsville, won a Pennsylvania Superior Court ruling affirming a Greene County jury award of 500 dollars for faithful apprenticeship under an 1859 act. Bound at age six to John W. Dalbey, Anderson served until 14. Dalbey died in 1934, and the contract promised a horse saddle bridle and clothes as payment.
