Indiana County assessors met at the Court House to discuss the triennial assessment process. Twenty-five of forty-three assessors attended as officials outlined duties and potential five to seven per cent cuts, with proceedings continuing through the afternoon session.
Commissioners of Jdiari County announce the triennial appeal dates beginning Monday February with hearings in Avanaga Borough Wheatfield and Ruffne townships and others. Appeals run daily in Maple ilete and various township halls through Friday with sessions from morning to afternoon sessions in Kerrywhill Young Cone Montgomery and Cherryhil areas for property assessments and tax hearings.
A Kansas incident recounts three bandits condemned for a bank looting and the murder of deputy Cudersheria Hickman. Claude Hay, Andrew Falliday, and John Walker were executed after their conviction, following a pursuit from Kansas into Colorado. In Vand ergrift a youth named Lary Richards of Spring Church robbed W T Walsinger and a friend in a store last night. He forced the pair to surrender $14 using revolvers pressed to their ribs and confessed to the crime after capture.
Michael Gresko of Stafford Indiana county died at Butler Hospital from injuries after his car failed to turn, skidded into a culvert on the Butler New Castle road. Four year old John Gaydes suffered severe injuries but is expected to live. three others escaped with minor bruises. The car was wrecked.

Paul Nicewonger a deserter from the U S Army was located in the home of friends on Maples street and taken into custody yesterday by a Federal officer and borough police. He deserted from Fort Husle Maryland several months ago and was located through rural policemen. He has been returned to Carlisle Pa barracks where he will be tried.
State trooper Lee Moore of Troop B was accidentally shot in the right leg above the knee during basement target practice at the local barracks at 7:30 PM. He was taken to Westmoreland Hospital by taxi and his condition was reported as good with injuries not serious.
