Purse snatcher fires at man in Millvale incident
In Millvale a purse snatcher attacked Mrs. Marie Dorn and her sister Mrs. Clara Derveny at a street car stop. The assailant fought off bystander James Zanos who rushed to help. The gunman fired twice at Zanos before fleeing in a waiting automobile.

Clarion Judge Sentences 36 in coal mine disturbances
In Clarion County a large sentencing event saw 36 individuals charged in a coal mine disturbance case. Thirty-one men and five women paid fines from 10 to 180 dollars for destruction of property forcible entry and aggravated assault and battery. Judge John H. Trucker Held At Gunpoint After Targeting Local Home
A Bloomsburg truck driver from Bellefonte was stopped by a resident yesterday night when he attempted to break into the Sadie Cameron home at Philadelphia and Ninth streets Indiana Borough police said. The man, later identified as Robert Parker Mutcher, was held at gunpoint by Frank Galonis, husband of a Cameron daughter, and jailed for investigation. Local notice served for Connie's Lunch event.
