Two sisters Gertrude Hoffman 71 a retired teacher and Ida Hoffman 76 long ill were found dead in their Harrisburg residence after neighbors reported they had vanished for over a week. Deputy Coroner Frank Heldel estimated they died around January 15 or 16 with Gertrude’s death from an ailment and Ida’s from exposure after house fires went out.
