Russian thief Eyans Trafim Evanoff jailed for fraud and robbery
In Pittsburgh on January 26 visiting Judge William Carr sentenced Trafim Evanoff known as Eyans Evans to from eleven and a half to twenty eight years in the Western penitentiary after he pleaded guilty to larceny by trick and robbery. He sold a money making machine for 3200 dollars to Mrs Mary Kopjak and robbed Mrs Sarah Lindenburg of 3890 dollars at gunpoint. He had fled after a June 1926 arrest and was located in Ohio last month before being returned.
