Denenberg Cleared to Practice Law in Pa After Court Ban
Harrisburg AP. Herbert Denenberg, now a Public Utility Commission member, is legally cleared to practice law in Pennsylvania after the state Supreme Court vacated a July order barring him from arguing cases. Denenberg criticized the six month delay and called the ruling a rectification of a mistake, while noting the decision did not affect his ability to practice in Washington DC or Nebraska. He had sought permission from the Board of Law Examiners and argued the ban was illegal and arbitrary.

An all day orientation for special education students in the district Curriculum Center focuses on work experience. Coordinators Kathryn Lukehart and Margaret Claypool lead the program which nets paid part time jobs and post graduation options. Career guidance specialist John Moore will review job possibilities while Kathy Gauntz from Agricultural Office discusses budgeting and money handling. Students travel to the center twice yearly for workshops aimed at improving on the job performance. Since 1968 the program reports about 62 percent of graduates find employment, with others advancing to trade school or service branches. about 18 percent have been unemployed for various reasons.
