Seven Mishaps and Two Injuries in Area Traffic
Two people suffered minor injuries in yesterday and today’s area highway crashes. Luella Ondo, riding with her husband, sustained cuts and scrapes in a 6:26 a.m. two car collision at 13th Street and Oakland Avenue, taken to Indiana Area Hospital. Damages totaled 700 dollars to the Ondo car and 500 to the Miller vehicle. Mary Henry was slightly hurt in a 11:15 p.m. crash at 11th and Washington. Ronald Miller of Shelocta was a driver in the other car. Henry’s car sustained 1,000 dollars in damage and the Miller vehicle 300. Both were treated and released. No injuries in a rear end collision near Mahont at 7:30 p.m. Drivers listed: Ford S. Clancy of Indiana and Richard Lewis Guido of Apollo. Guido traveled the wrong way on Route 286. Penn State enrollment rose to 11th in fulltime students, with 48,457 fulltime and 68,223 total including parttime. A snow accident on a Smithport highway left no injuries. Multiple other minor wrecks occurred across Evans City and Punxsutawney areas with modest damages reported.
