Two Taken On Larceny Charge In Saltsbury
Matthew Johnson and Walter Brink both 21 and 20 of Salisburg are charged by Stats Trooper Francis Manley with three counts of larceny. They were committed to county jail in default of $1,000 bail each after a hearing before Squire John F. Johnston yesterday afternoon. They allegedly stole a Chevrolet sedan owned by Johnson’s mother-in-law Mrs. Samuel Waugaman of Saltsbury, abandoned it on a highway after Joyride, forced entry into Maples Service Station in Saltsbury on January 15 and escaped with candy cigarettes tobacco and provisions. They were held at their homes in Saltsbury and confessed to the crimes. They will appear before Judge J. N. Langham at ten o’clock Monday morning to enter pleas of guilty.
