Risinger PTA Hears Talk On Therapy For Handicapped
Kenneth Hindersiten a physical therapist at Indiana Hospital spoke at the Risinger School PTA meeting on January 18 about his work with handicapped children. He described varying conditions from those correctable with orthopedic shoes to those affecting the entire body and outlined emotional reactions of handicapped children. He noted there are many physical therapy methods and discussed the PTA business conducted by Mrs. Robert Fabin and Mrs. Dean Fitzgerald. A Wisconsin Henry Stevens Lenar school nurse expressed thanks for the emergency school health food contribution. Third grade quidiers hosted. Mrs. Abaeda Kerr’s sixth grade won the team award. A Guidance Center staff member will discuss Children’s Mental Health at the February 15 meeting, and Founders Day will be observed that week.

The Ladies Auxiliary to Indiana Post 1989 VFW met at VIEW Country Club. Membership chairman Garnet Frampton reported the first campaign tap closed with 100 percent paid dues. A second campaign lap is planned for April. A February 9 covered-dish dinner at 6 30 with entertainment is scheduled. Hospital reports note get wells and flowers for families. Rummage sale set for April 23 at the Community Center.
