Eight passengers aboard the Big Four Express were robbed in a daring railroad crime. Train officers say they were unaware of the events as jewels and money were taken and an informer shot during the six o’clock attack near Derry Township. Children from Derry Township school were affected by the incident and safety measures were urged.
Six bandits robbed a sleeping Hig Fear train near Bellefontaine Ohio, yielding about 3170 in cash and valuables. Victims include W W Young of Toronto and Edwin Nelson of Tampa in critical condition, with others reporting losses of cash and a jeweled item.
