Two youths from Indiana County face ten counts of burglary two armed robberies and one larceny. A disabled mobile home parked east of Blairsville was burglarized over the weekend. Atlantic Mobile Homes, Inc. of Claysburg owns the unit. Estimated loss is $600 for a refrigerator, three drapes, vents, light fixtures, and damages to a door, window, and built-in cabinets.

Welfare Decision Under Fire By Lindsay Over Waldorf Suit
New York AP. Mayor John V. Lindsay suspended three welfare workers after a Brooklyn welfare mother Cleola Hainsworth and her four children were housed in two rooms at the Waldorf Astoria in a $70 a night suite. Hainsworth preferred a friend’s two rooms for $100 weekly but welfare officials insisted on the Waldorf. The mother said city welfare staff refused her request to move to her friend’s apartment, while a Waldorf spokesman confirmed the booking and noted the hotel knew it was for a welfare family. The mayor ordered a full investigation into the incident which may have malicious intent.

State Allocation For Library Aid Funds Awarded
