Robert Leiden Is Nation’s Future Farmer In Cambria
Robert Leiden of St Lawrence Behsylvania has been named leading future farmer in Cambria County for the year based on his Vocational Agriculture work at Patton High School. He earned the Keystone Farmer Degree at the Harrisburg Farm Show on January 14, 1948, for his project program and activities. He graduated Patton High School in 1947, led the FFA Chapter, and served as secretary of the Indiana Cambria Big County Chapter. Bob worked on a farm since youth, with projects in vegetables, corn, onions, and strawberries, and now runs projects with his father including truck crops and a tree nursery. Vocational adviser H. F. Longwell guided much of his work.
