Explosion Fatal to Creekside Welder at Rochester Plant
William Lakehart 47 of Creekside died in Indiana Hospital after injuries from a piston explosion at the Ernest machine shop of Rochester and Pittsburgh Coal Co. He suffered leg fractures and internal injuries when a heated hollow piston blew apart. J Walls of Ernest was slightly hurt. Lakehart, born Tyrone October 6, 1887, leaves wife Irene Condron and four children. Funeral set for Wednesday at his Creekside home with burial in Punxsutawney Chela Hill Cemetery.

Collision injures four in Clymer ambulance crash
A Clymer ambulance collision injured coal miner William Ellis 43 and three Stafford youths late Saturday. Ellis, a Russell Coal Co employee, had fractured a mine ankle from prior accidents. Yaros 18 Korionta 23 and Crome 23 suffered knee dislocation and bruises. Ambulance driver Harold Rower 25 was unhurt as the vehicle struck a parked machine and rammed a company house.

Youth Injured While Coasting in Glen Campbell District
Albert Dunlap, 15, of Rossiter R D 1, suffered serious injuries in a coasting accident on a neighbor's farm near Glen Campbell Saturday night. He underwent emergency surgery at Indiana Hospital and remains in serious condition today after initial treatment at the scene.
