A large Indiana crowd enjoyed three vaudeville acts at the Indiana Theater featuring Miss Mystic with magic tricks, Iz and Duffy in a song and comedy routine, and Akon with a clever humor act. The cast showcased graceful and strong performances, with cash prizes promised to lucky ticket holders through the night. News reel and comedy rounds added to the program.
The EyER Club plans to join the Republican League of Pennsylvania following a recommendation by State Executive Committeeman B.A. Lotto Esq at a January meeting. The branch list includes Chas. Carei and other members.
Israel Slotsky, 26, died of injuries after an attack as he left his fiancée's Goat Hill home in Washington pa. A crowbar was found nearby and his flashlight lay on the ground. Police and witnesses connect the incident with recent robberies in the dimly lit district.

A near blizzard tore through Pittsburgh and parts of Ohio and Kentucky, smashing plate glass and blowing down structures. In Lindenwald Ohio a school and homes were destroyed. A. R. Kruger of Dayton was killed by a falling cornice. In Pittsburgh a 60 mph gale shattered windows, crushed a man under a garage roof, and delayed trains as snow and cold continued.
The Senate rejected Smith prompting appointment by bylaw and predicting a successor. The Ware candidacy faced a near certainty of exclusion after Smith’s case, while the Vare contest stands complicated by Wilson’s challenge. Committees wrestling with seating and campaign expense inquiries may delay final action for months.
A 1926 Illinois funds scandal led to a Senate resolution branding expenditures as contrary to public policy. Smith faced repeated oaths denial as charges of fraud and corruption tainted his credentials. The tally showed 27 to 45 against oath and 88 to 43 then 82 to 50 in prior votes.

A Pittsburgh woman's letter to County Detective H Edward Fox in Westmoreland County urges a public whipping post for parents who mistreat children. The note references the December death of four year old Tommy Ferraro, stepson of Mary Gill Ferraro, who faces voluntary manslaughter charges.
