Co Man Dies On Birthday In Indiana Town
Newton L. Diem of 1140 Grant Street Indiana collapsed on the street near his home and died. A longtime county resident and caretaker at Indiana State Teachers College he died on his 70th birthday. He lived in Clymer 44 years and came to Indiana nearly two years ago. Diem was active in the American Red Cross and named a life member of the Indiana Chapter in 1950. Friends note he had been under a doctor’s care for a heart ailment.
